Spook

Their music builds a bridge between written compositional ideas and instant composing whereby “jazz”, “Americana” and “Krautrock” the three main ingredients are. Their pieces are long stretched musical adventures where the pedal steel colours a distant sky with sounds and effects. The double bass jumps between intense grooves and open noise structures whereas the drums tame the horizon with krautgrooves and exotic percussion. SPOOK calls their music “post western” or “free country”, but what’s in a name of course. Their debut album “SPOOK” was released in March 2022 on the famous Belgian W.E.R.F. jazzlabel and was received very well in the national press.
