The Art of Listening
A jazz club in the heart of the Antwerp South area. A former cinema with paintings on the wall as a ‘soundwall’. A stage surrounded by 20 tables and four chairs each, a mood light and muted spotlights with focus on the music, pure and unadulterated. Art in fluid form so to speak.
Classical music has played an important role at the auction house for years. This is how our Classical Platform Concerts series runs in the renovated cinema, every Sunday of the viewing days leading up to the auction: Classical on Sunday.
Small ensembles or soloists will play a classical or surprising repertoire at this matinée, with a preliminary introduction to 3 works of art by an inspired enthusiast. With a no-obligation walk through the exhibition afterwards.
