Below brief report with hammer prices (excl. comm.) <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/6″][vc_single_image image=”44342″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/6″][vc_single_image image=”44343″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text]A ‘Dame assise \u00e0 l’ombrelle’ by Jean B\u00e9raud, a small but fine portrait very reminiscent of Alfred Stevens, the painter of Belle Epoque ladies, doubled her estimate (lot 9, res.: res. \u20ac7000) while for a canvas dating from 1916-17 by Frits Vanden Berghe, ‘Bosrand bij zonsondergang’ (Langui 56) one bidder had \u20ac15000 auction (lot 57). The interwar period was also represented, among others, by a chair in chromed steel by Louis-Herman De Koninck (lot 156, res.: \u20ac 5000) and a lot of furniture by Ferdinando Meccani (lots 86, 87, resp. \u20ac 3600 and \u20ac 8500) referring to that period but dating back to the 1980s also quickly found a new home. <\/span><\/p>\n

Recent paintings by Sophie Kuijken (lot 146, res.: <\/span>\u20ac 1600<\/span>) Davis Rhodes (lot 97, res.: <\/span>\u20ac 950) <\/span>or even Dimiter Mitchy (lot 144, res: <\/span>\u20ac 12000) did equally well while also for earlier work by Octaaf Landuyt (lot 134, res:<\/span> \u20ac 7000), Bram Bogart (lot 75, res:<\/span> \u20ac 6000), Jean Brusselmans (lot 52, res:<\/span> \u20ac 5500) or even Pablo Picasso (‘Cruchon Hibou’, lot 78, res:<\/span> \u20ac 7000) much healthy interest existed. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”44344″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_single_image image=”39095″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]Finally, an imposing Amsterdam watch with astronomical calendar from the mid-18th century and made especially for the then mayor van de Poll fetched a handsome <\/span>\u20ac 35000<\/span> and thus immediately became the most expensive lot of the auction (lot 28), if the ‘moderns’ are to live up to it. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/6″][vc_single_image image=”39083″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/6″][vc_single_image image=”39121″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/6″][vc_column_text]Parking <\/strong>
