\nPianist Ewout Pierreux combines his love of playing in one of jazz’s basic line-ups par excellence, the piano trio, with a fascination for the vintage sound of the Rhodes, the electro-mechanical keyboard instrument that from the 1960s and 1970s left a unique mark on a lot of popular music, and was made famous by o. Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Joe Zawinul, Chick Corea, among others… With two young musicians, bassist Jef Manderveld and drummer Jesse Dockx, he is working on a specific repertoire for trio ensemble playing around the natural, unmodulated sound of this instrument. Own pieces, lyrical and groovy, and a host of original interpretations of well-known jazz repertoire, always arranged open-ended to leave as much room as possible for improvisation and communication. The result is a sound that combines jazz, bebop and blues as well as gospel and soul, and a bunch of infectious playing.\"\"Tickets<\/strong>
