[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]SPOOK is a fairly new trio that was created in 2020 by the three bandmembers:
\nFilip Wauters (known from BackBack, Zesde Metaal) on pedal steel,
\nSimon Segers on drums (known from De Beren Gieren and Black Flower)
\nNicolas Rombouts on double bass (known from Bert Dockx\u2019 Ottla, Dez Mona, Stef Kamil
\nCarlens, Jim White (US)).<\/p>\n

Their music builds a bridge between written compositional ideas and instant composing
\nwhereby \u201cjazz\u201d, \u201cAmericana\u201d and \u201cKrautrock\u201d the three main ingredients are.
\nTheir pieces are long stretched musical adventures where the pedal steel colours a
\ndistant sky with sounds and effects. The double bass jumps between intense grooves
\nand open noise structures whereas the drums tame the horizon with krautgrooves and
\nexotic percussion.
\nSPOOK calls their music \u201cpost western\u201d or \u201cfree country\u201d, but what\u2019s in a name of course.
\nTheir debut album \u201cSPOOK\u201d was released in March 2022 on the famous Belgian W.E.R.F.
\njazzlabel and was received very well in the national press.
\nThey played many shows in Belgium such as the Handelsbeurs (Ghent), Nona (Mechelen),
\nDe Studio (Antwerpen), Wilde Westen (Kortrijk), AMOK (Bruges), Un Peu (Brussels) and so
\non.<\/p>\n
