An eclectic auction featuring classic antiques (including a triptych from the circle of Pieter Coecke van Aelst, tapestries, a collection of neoclassical Ghent and Amsterdam silver, jewelry, and Romantic paintings by artists such as Ferdinand de Braekeleer), spanning across four typical ‘monkey’ paintings by Jos Schippers to an intriguing still life by Mariano Andreu. In the post-war segment, a 1986 canvas by Philippe Vandenberg is cataloged alongside two imposing works by the French rebel Chamizo, sculptures by Sofie Muller, a double portrait by Sam Dillemans, and an early work by Dennis Tyfus.

A New Breeze
Furthermore, a select collection of design will go under the hammer. In this special ‘A New Breeze’ auction, Antwerp-based interior designer Hilde Cornelissens is parting with pieces that rarely appear on the market, mostly of American manufacture.
Six centuries of literature
On December 3rd, we will auction the first part of the library of the late Prof. Dr. Werner Waterschoot. From the late 1960s until now, he quietly built an impressive collection where the printed word took center stage, preferably bound in a fine, exceptional cover, both classical and contemporary, from Vondel to Lanoye. The dispersion of the second part is scheduled for the spring of 2027.
In addition, old prints from the collection of Dirk Baksteen, drawings, and modern graphics by artists such as Panamarenko and Raveel.
L’embarras du choix in this eclectic winter auction. The only constant in this offering of 1,200 lots is quality.
