The sale of 74 motorbikes will mark the definitive end of the Sprangers Museum in Minderhout. The auction of vintage two-wheelers will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 24 March and will represent the second and final part of the collection of industrialist-collector Marcel Sprangers. Enthusiasts will remember the ‘white gloves’ sale on 5 September 2023, when 45 vintage cars found a new owner for 905,000 euros.

The core of this sale is made up of 74 shiny (and not so shiny) two-wheelers dating from the turn of the century to the 1990s. A handful of rare Belgian bikes (Minerva, Flandria, FN, Gillet) are represented, but German, Italian and British brands are also included (NSU, DKW, Ducati, MV Agusta, Moto Guzzi, New Hudson). Among the most expensive examples are the American dream models Indian Scout and, of course, Harley Davidson.

Estimates range from €1.000 to €22.000 per two-wheeler, and the collection will also be extended to include all the automobilia/memorabilia housed in the museum near Hoogstraten. There’s something for every budget, whether you’re a novice enthusiast, a connoisseur or a seasoned collector. The exhibition will be accessible on presentation of the printed catalogue, which will be published for the occasion and sold for 20 euros.
