The October ‘Works on Paper’ auction will focus on old and modern drawings, some of which come from the former Dutch auctioneer Paul Brandt, featuring artists such as Breitner, Van Rees, Steinlen, Tanguy and others. The Vyncke family’s collection also includes several fascinating drawings, amongst them a self-portrait by the Ghent artist Jules De Bruycker. In addition, there is a small but exceptional collection comprising virtually all the publications by cult author J.M.H. Berckmans, including an original manuscript, exceptional editions by Felix Timmermans, Jan van Nijlen and Karel van de Woestijne, alongside several original videos by Jan Fabre and a rare Martin Kippenberg edition….

Two volumes of the 1652 Janssonius atlas, bound in original parchment, will also be on offer and the ‘maritime atlas’ in particular is sure to attract considerable attention.
