A seven-session year-end auction, ‘Closing Time’ ran from Sunday 4 to Friday 9 December focusing on Antiques, Modern Masters, Works on Paper (including comics and Jan Hoet Archives).
With a thematic auction ‘The Grand Opening’, the auction house turned its attention to the newly reopened KMSKA.
Because of climate-related concerns and with a view to the reopening of the KMSKA, the auction house had its hall ‘Platform’ renovated.
If this spring auction had to be summed up in two adjectives, the best one would be ‘unpredictably successful’, in that order.
The ‘Works on Paper & Editions’ auction, spread over three sessions, became a captivating spectacle.
Under the title ‘Classic vs. Modern’, the Bernaerts House organised from 7 to 9 December an auction spread over three auction days with a focus on the 20th century, without forgetting classical art.
