From a private Antwerp collection came an unparallelled choice of views and plans of Antwerp and it’s surroundings, from the 16th till the 20th century. The artists represented in this collection were, among others, Jean-Baptiste Vrints, Seger Tieleman, Claes Janszoon Visscher, Joan Blaeu, Henri Cassiers, Walter Vaes.

The two monumental views on the city (lots 1012 and 1013)) sold resp. for 4000 and 8500 €. A detailed survey of the results is on view online. This collection made a total of 35000 €.

Of the very view old books offered for sale, the one by De Gheyn (lot 1105) on military practices towered above all the rest with it’s majestic 5000 €. The portfolio by Jozef Cantré (lot 1202) made it to 2000 €.

Other results to mention: Floris Jespers print (lot 1214) selling at 1100 euros, the Eugeen Van Mieghem portfolio leaving at 4200 € and his double sided drawing (lot 1325) ending up at a well earned 7000 €.
