Arts and antiques

A set of Italian/ Flemish 17th century chairs (lot 79) took the highest bid of the sale on 12000 euros. A mid 18th century Transition commode (lot 531) climbed to 11000 euros, whereas a 17th century Antwerp table (lot 119) tripled its estimate.

Another higlight on this sale was the large collection of European ivory and Vienese bronzes. Some results from worth mentioning : a beggar (lot 94), 4200 euros , a Napoleontic statue (lot 1041), 2800 euros, a pair of beggars (lot 194), 2600 euros. The bronzes all sold for reasonable prices, in the range of 100 to 1800 euros. This highest bids both went to a standing Arab figure (lots 1002 and 1011).
