Tutu Puoane (zang)
Clemens van der Feen (contrabass)

Tutu Puoane is one of the evocative voices of the international jazz and contemporary music scene. Born in Pretoria, South Africa, she moved to the Netherlands to study in 2002 and settled in Belgium shortly after. With notable collaborations with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Bert Joris and the Flemish Philharmonic, Wim Vandekeybus, Jasper van ‘t Hof and Tineke Postma, she stole the hearts of many. Puoane’s beautiful voice, her intuition, her sense of rhythm and melody, combined with her typical charm and humour on stage make every concert a moment you will never forget. With her infectious personality, she effortlessly convinces music lovers across style boundaries.

For this occasion, she will enter into dialogue with the Dutch bass player Clemens van der Feen, for years a fixed value in her projects. Van der Feen is known in and outside the Netherlands as a creative jack-of-all-trades and a versatile and gifted improviser. With the two of them, they embark on a journey through a repertoire of older and newer songs, including both standards and originals.
